A late youtube response to Fidel's stepping down.
Hopefully our new president will have the foresight (and guts) to begin conversations with Cuba and END THE EMBARGO. I mean, how much power should some vehemently anti-Castro Cuban Americans in Miami have, anyway?
BASTA YA.

joe! i always read (the music parts) but never comment so i figured it was time to ante up myself. thanks for lots of fun music videos.
those sure are some cuckoo cubanos you found there. my favorite part about orishas - their website is 'www.orishasthebest.com' of course. also - were they always so broad shouldered? can you imagine having lived life without discovering orishas? i owe you a call. happy leap.
Bird GURRRRL! You're most definitely welcome. I think the recently broad shouldered Orishas have some personal trainers to thank....
Happy leap to you too.
What's up, Joe? Have to come here to see you, since you don't show up at La otra botella anymore...
Anyway, the worst problem of the Miami contingent isn't that they're "vehemently anti-Castro". Many of us are that, since Fidel proved to be a very evil man a long time ago. The Miami Cubes have a different set of issues, involving only one idea of how Cuba can be "free", which involves a kind of return to 1958. Or well, not all of them do, just some really powerful ones that seem to have quite a bit of pull with the imbeciles who "run" this country.
Yep, Orishas must be making some money now.

Ouch! I'm still otra botellando at least a few times a week - just haven't posted a comment in a while. I'm due. Si se puede....
Thanks for clarifying the Miami Cuban situation. So basically what most of them want is a return to heavy US corporate involvement in Cuba (a la the good old United Fruit Company)?
